Last week I told you about the Benefit For Lucinda’s Kids and wow, there were a lot of you who ended up here. As a quick reminder, the benefit is a concert in New York to build up a trust for two awesome kids. Apparently the response has been so great that a second show has been added at the Bowrey Electric on Monday, April 30th with more great artists including: HR (of Bad Brains), Tommy Stinson, Alan Vega, James Maddock and Aaron Lee Tasjan.
Of course, if you aren’t in the NYC area or can’t make the shows you can donate through Fundrazr. And if that weren’t enough you can also enter a raffle for some super cool stuff made by super creative people. So far, items include this beautiful quilt by Kaysi Braden of Creative Wanderlust:
Or this super sexy, glossy photo book by Brenda Yamen filled with super sexy, glossy photos of Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers:
And finally, the man himself – Roger Clyne – has put a piece of his own memorabilia up on eBay for the cause. This show poster from 1996 is signed by Roger and David Lowrey of Cracker.
All donations, proceeds from auction items and money paid for tickets will go to the Lucinda’s Kids charity. This money will mostly go into a trust for the kids, but a portion will also be given to the Samaritans of New York.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read through this and for considering a donation to an extremely worthy cause. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or use the following links for more information.
